The website is really coming along! It's been up less than a week, and has already had over 600 different visitors! That's amazing. I knew musicians could use a site like this to practice with. Probably should have called it something besides Fiddle backup tracks, as I know guitarists, mandolins, banjos, bass, etc. could all use these tracks to practice with. But, since they are fiddle tunes for me, guess I'll keep it at that. Finished page 5 yesterday, and got a few of the special requests done. I have a couple more special requests to get to, so hang on for more tracks to come.
Just thought I'd let everyone know that I had a great time at Wanderlust, in Eureka Springs. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get there until Sat., but I did get to play about 10 hours. It was great seeing the whole Arkansas Old Time Fiddler's Assoc. gang, doing what they love to do! I had to play at the Cherokee Casino in Siloam Springs Friday night, and didn't get home until after 2am. Got back up at 7:30am, and started getting ready for Eureka. I was wore out after Sat. night! I'm playing with River's Edge in Bentonville on the 19th of Aug. Not sure of the time, but I'll post it sometime next week, when I find out for sure. We are playing at the fairgrounds. Must be something going on there. I will keep you posted!
Anyways, the site is coming along nicely. I worked on it quite a bit the last few days. Making sure the tracks sound like they are supposed to, then turning them into a wave file. From there, I convert them into an mp3 file, with a different program, and then upload them to the site. Whewww! I can already tell people will be using it though. I got 50 unique visitors today, and almost that, yesterday, and it's only been up 2 days! Well, I better get. Y'all take care now! |
